Seniors 65+ Save on 2 nights Sunday-Wednesday

Tennis Deals & Vacation Packages

Courtwood Inn offers two different tennis packages, one for weekdays and one for weekends, that take advantage of our two courts and the attractions of Murphys.

Tennis Group Getaways

For teams and groups staying between Monday – Thursday in three or more of our junior suites.
 For Signature and Senior room rates only – click the ‘Book Now’ button on our website.

Smash Package: Book 3-5 junior suites (not including Mickeys or Drop Shot) for a 2-night stay

Day 1:

  • Early check-in (based on availability) 12-3pm
  • Reserved courts for afternoon play 2-5pm
  • ‘Wine and Cheese’ reception 5:30-6pm
  • Dinner on your own in Murphys; dessert du jour when you return

Day 2:

  • Deluxe breakfast at 8:30, 8:45 or 9:00 am
  • Reserved courts for morning play 10am-Noon
  • Reserved courts for afternoon play 2-4: 30 pm
  • Wine party with a blind tasting of local wines and prizes 5-6pm
  • Dinner on your own in Murphys; dessert du jour when you return

Day 3:

  • Deluxe breakfast at 8:30, 8:45 or 9:00 am
  • Reserved courts for morning play 9:30-11am
  • Check-out extended to noon

Ace Package: Book 3-5 junior suites (not including Mickeys or Drop Shot) for a 3-night stay

Ace Package includes a 10% discount on room rates, except on weekends

Days 1 and 2 are the same as the Smash Package

Day 3:

  • Deluxe breakfast at 8:30, 8:45 or 9:00 am
  • Morning open for sightseeing, shopping, lunch, or tennis on your own
  • Round robin play with coaching from Larry 2-4pm; open play 4-5 pm
  • ‘Wine and Cheese’ reception 5:30-6 pm
  • Casual farewell dinner and dessert at the inn 6:30-8 pm

Day 4:

  • Deluxe breakfast at 8:30, 8:45 or 9:00 am
  • Reserved courts for morning play 9:30-11 am
  • Check-out extended to noon

Golden Set Package

Bring your USPTA/PTR certified pro with you for a Smash or Ace Package

Your pro will receive a complimentary room and will organize all your court activities.

Silver Set Package

Group instruction/drills @ $130/hr; Private lessons @ $115/hr, with Larry

Love Set Doubles Packages

play tennis – relax and enjoy the area – have fun

This fabulous package is for 2 doubles pairs and features a two-night stay in specially selected junior suites. You can arrive on Friday and check out Sunday, arrive on Saturday and checkout Monday (in low season only), or come during the week.

This Packages Include:

  • Stay 2 nights in Australian Open and Davis Cup junior suites
  • Check in after 3 pm; late check-out by noon
  • Reserved court time for practice and play each day
  • One 1-hour doubles strategy clinic for 4 players with Larry Parker (formerly ranked #1 in NorCal mixed doubles with wife, Chris)
    • includes evaluation and practice tips for improvement
  • Welcome gift in each room: tennis balls and local wine
  • Deluxe breakfast each morning
  • ‘Wine and Cheese’ reception each afternoon 5:30-6:00 pm
  • Dinner on your own (at one of the many fine restaurants in Murphys; dessert du jour when you return)

Chris and Larry Parker are the owners of Courtwood Inn. Chris was formerly National USPTA Player of the Year, and a tennis director in the Bay Area for over 15 years. Larry played varsity tennis at Cal/Berkeley, competed at Wimbledon, Australian Open, and US Open, and was formerly NorCal USPTA Pro of the Year and Player of the Year. Both have coached players of all levels, from beginners to nationally ranked.
