Murphys, CA, Irish Day is the Place to Be
Our historic, gold-rush town is always a fabulous place to visit, but in March every year, right around St. Patrick’s Day, Irish heritage and history come alive in Murphys as we celebrate all things Irish. During Murphys Irish Day, our town’s Celtic roots are honored, as downtown Main Street fills with thousands of people that have come to celebrate with us!
Start the Day off Right
After breakfast, you’ll begin to hear bagpipes as they lead a giant parade through the town. The parade features marching bands, classic cars, gorgeous horses, and more. You might even see a leprechaun or two! We have so much fun watching the parade and cheering for our favorites! Following the parade, there is continuous entertainment featuring singers, dancers, musicians, and jugglers.
Shamrockin’ Out the Whole Day
After the parade, the fun doesn’t slow down. Along Main Street, there are booths filled with art, handcrafted Irish items, tasty food, and of course, lots of Irish drinks. Also, many local Murphys businesses, restaurants, and tasting rooms will open their doors and invite guests in for yummy food and beverages during this special event.
