While each vineyard and winery in Murphys is distinct and carries its own personality, Brice Station Vineyards stands out in its uniqueness. At 3,300 feet, Brice Station Vineyards is one of the highest in California. This influences the fruit that goes into the excellent wine, but it also provides an enchanting environment for guests when they visit the tasting room surrounded by trees and close to the stars.
The Wines
Brice Station Vineyards describes their wines as having “exceptional color and full flavor that are influenced by a climate reminiscent of the Napa and Bordeaux regions,” as the vineyard enjoys long summers full of warm sunny days and crisp cool nights. They specialize in superb red wines, which you can enjoy when you visit the tasting room.
The Property
When you visit, you’ll notice the laid-back atmosphere right away. Open grassy areas and tall pine trees complement the charming tasting room, and it’s clear that the outdoors are as much a part of the environment as the buildings are. In addition to the tasting room, there’s also a small shop on site that makes and sells pottery.
Events at Brice Station Vineyards
During the summer, Brice Station Vineyards is host to a variety of events. This includes a concert series as well as the popular Shakespeare on the Vine. They take place outdoors, giving the events a festive, whimsical touch.
The summer concerts, aka the Hilltop Concert Series, features performances from a variety of musicians and a variety of genres. You’ll find great talent that hails both locally and from afar. Wine, wine cocktails, sodas, water, dinner, and desserts are available for purchase during concerts, and you are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages and food with you.
2019 marks the 5th season for Shakespeare on the Vine. This year, the theatre company will come to Brice Station Vineyards to put on a performance of Macbeth.
